Mental Health Day Treatment helps people with a critical need. Individual facing a life with autism, Down syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and other developmental disabilities are sometimes subject to chronic mental health problems that need special treatment. Mental Health Day Treatment -- provides services for individuals who are dually diagnosed with acute or chronic mental health problems and mental retardation. The purpose is to ensure the continuity of care in the least restrictive environment by providing a therapeutic milieu focused on teaching self-care, vocational, social and leisure skills, as well as illness management.
